Disabled Facilities
Preparations are well under way for the provision of disabled facilities at the hall.
Our planning application has been approved and we are delighted to report that our major grant application to WREN for the bulk of the funding has been successful. There are various administration matters that have to be undertaken now to fully complete the WREN process then arrangements can be made for the building work to commence.
We are also deeply indebted to The Bedford Charity who have kindly granted most of the Third Party Contribution for the project, and to the Rural Affairs Committee of Bedford Borough Council who have completed this Contribution. Without this Third Party donation the WREN grant would not have been made.
Obviously due consideration has to be given to users of the hall so that any possible disruption can be minimised during the construction work.
